About
We are artist duo Neon & Landa, based in the Netherlands.
Our curiosity, passion and research goes into sound, light, science and technology.
We build sound and light installations with autonomous character and sometimes humorous behaviour. The themes of our artworks are often inspired by natural phenomena, such as (bioluminescent) land and water organisms.
Our musical instruments:
We love unstable pitch and we're crazy about wild overtones, so we build musical instruments that can produce these sounds. We also have started an ongoing project Wobblophones where our musical instruments are released as sample libraries for Kontakt and Ableton Live.
Our art:
We create sound sculptures and installations that have their own autonomous character and sometimes humorous behaviour. To make them work we often need to come up with technical solutions specific to the work. We love this challenge!
Our music:
We make (studio) music and occasionally perform live with our musical instruments. We also enjoy projects that we can join as sound designers.
